Exporting a Paradise Light Sport Aircraft to Chile
In August 2025, Neel Aviation completed the export of a Paradise Light Sport Aircraft to Chile. The aircraft first arrived in Florida for an engine exchange and test flight before being delivered to our facility at Lakeland Linder International Airport, where our crew managed the complete disassembly, fixture design, and secure containerization for shipment to South America.
This project highlights both the versatility of the Paradise Light Sport (Paradise LSA) and Neel Aviation’s continued experience exporting a wide range of aircraft to international destinations.
The Paradise Light Sport
The Paradise Light Sport is a Brazilian-designed light sport aircraft (LSA) (avión deportivo liviano), widely appreciated for its simplicity, efficiency, and reliability. Built for recreational flying, pilot training, and personal use, LSAs provide an affordable entry into aviation while maintaining strong safety and performance standards.
Light Sport Aircraft like the Paradise are especially popular in Latin America, where general aviation is steadily growing. With a straightforward design and dependable engine options, the Paradise Light Sport is perfectly suited for Chile’s mix of urban and remote flying environments—from coastal regions to the Andes foothills.
Preparing the Aircraft for Export
After receiving its overhauled engine and passing test flights, the Paradise LSA was delivered to Neel Aviation for disassembly. Our crew handled:
- Engine removal and protection for overseas shipment.
- Careful disassembly of the fuselage, wings, and control surfaces.
- Custom fixture fabrication to stabilize the aircraft during containerization.
- Secure packing of all components for safe transport to Chile.
Each Light Sport Aircraft presents unique handling requirements, especially because of their lighter structural design. Protecting sensitive surfaces and ensuring proper support during shipment are critical steps to ensure the aircraft arrives in flight-ready condition.
A Valued Customer Relationship
This project was part of a long-standing partnership with a valued customer. Over the years, Neel Aviation has prepared and exported multiple aircraft for them, including a Cessna 150 and a Piper Archer. At the time of this shipment, our crew was also preparing a Cessna 152 for export.
These repeat projects underscore the trust customers place in Neel Aviation to handle their aircraft with precision, consistency, and care.
Light Sport Aircraft in Chile
Chile has a vibrant and expanding general aviation community. From recreational flying to flight schools, light sport aircraft (aviones deportivos livianos) are becoming increasingly popular. With its mix of mountainous terrain, long coastlines, and remote areas, Chile offers unique opportunities for aviation enthusiasts.
The Paradise LSA exported by Neel Aviation will be used to support this growing aviation culture, giving pilots in Chile access to an efficient, dependable aircraft for both personal and training use.
Neel Aviation’s Global Expertise
Neel Aviation has decades of experience exporting aircraft to destinations across South America, Africa, Asia, and beyond.
