On August 22, 2025, Neel Aviation prepared and exported a DR-109 aerobatic aircraft to Uruguay. The aircraft was ferried in from Texas to our facility at Lakeland Linder International Airport in Florida, where our crew managed the full disassembly, fixture mounting, and containerization before international shipment.
This project was a standout—not only because of the aircraft’s final destination, but also because of the DR-109’s reputation in the aerobatic community.

Preparing the DR-109 for Export

- Carefully disassembled the wings—including the wood wing assembly.
- Built custom fixtures for secure mounting of the fuselage.
- Packed and containerized all components to ensure safe transit.
By designing fixtures in-house, we ensure that every aircraft—whether a spray plane, a light sport, or an aerobatic performer—is supported properly during shipment.
